Fun Policy

Our fun policy is geared towards promoting the social and sportsmanship qualities of Boston Frisbee. We believe that fun group involves meeting new people, encouraging beginners at frisbee and exhibiting qualities of courtesy, compassion and generousity. Here are our policy guidelines:

  • Good Sportsmanship -- Recognize individuals (even opponents) on good plays, throws and catches. More importantly, encourage individuals who fail (e.g. a dropped frisbee or a weak throw).
  • Encouragement -- Encourage players to practice and remind them that they will not be judged on their performance
  • Name Game -- Call out your teammates name when you throw to him/her. Don't be afraid to ask for someone's name again. Chances are they forgot your name too!
  • Everyone Gets a Hand -- Make sure you are passing to everyone on your team. If a player is not getting the frisbee because he/she is stationary, encourage them to run closer to you so you can complete a pass to them.
  • After-Frisbee Social -- After every game, everyone is invited to attend an after-frisbee social, which can be at a restaurant, a local food court or at a frisbee member's house.

People consistently comment on how surprisingly fun the games are and on how the after-frisbee social ties the whole experience together. It is another differentiating factor that makes Boston Frisbee so much fun!
